9/11 Memorial Run with the Flag

This year Captain Justin Hedderich and Firefighter Jose Velez took part in Picatinny Arsenal’s annual memorial ceremony in remembrance of the 343 firefighters and other first responders that were lost on the attack on the Twin Towers. They continue the precedent they themselves set last year carrying the flag for a two mile run in full PPE. We hope to start and expand this tradition within our department challenging our fellow members to join Justin and Jose the following years to come. Never will we forget the brave men and women who gave up their lives on that day and every day after, their courage and willpower is carried deep in all of us. Thank you.
