**Mine Hill Fire Department Responds to Brush Fire Emergency**
Mine Hill, NJ – November 18, 2023 – The Mine Hill Fire Department would like to update the community regarding a recent fire emergency that took place on the evening of November 17, 2023. Firefighters were dispatched to the vicinity of Cinders Woodfire Grill, where a brush fire was reported on the hill adjacent to Iron Mountain Road.
Upon arrival, our dedicated crews quickly located the fire and promptly deployed a hand line to suppress the flames. Thanks to the swift actions of our firefighters, the fire was contained and extinguished without further incident. The Mine Hill Fire Department extends its gratitude for the support received from our partners, including the New Jersey Forest Fire Service, the Wharton Police Department, and the Morris County Sheriffs Department, who assisted in ensuring the safety of our community.
In light of this incident, we would like to take this opportunity to remind all residents that open burning, the discarding of burned materials, and the use of charcoal grills are strictly prohibited during this dry period. These measures are vital in protecting our community and preventing future fire emergencies.
